Jabra was out early with completely wireless earplugs, and all the company’s attempts so far have been relatively good. You can mostly count on the Jabra to deliver solidly. But, can you shower with Jabra Elite Active 75t?

Showering with the Jabra Elite Active 75t is not recommended. Due to the fact that Bluetooth signals cannot travel through water, you may suffer audio cuts or disconnections. Although the Jabra Elite Active 75t is waterproof, it is not resistant to salt, soap, or chemicals, all of which might harm the device.

How Is the Sound Quality of Jabra Elite Active 75t?

This pair is one of the best-sounding pairs of wireless earbuds at this price range. It produces detailed and vibrant audio. The bass is strong as it can boost your energy levels while running.

It seems as if Jabra has listened to previous feedback that their sound could be a bit boring and unengaging. The previous models have been usable, but not close to the best on the market, with a slightly flat midrange and too little bass for some.

This time the story has changed, and the bass reproduction is turned up, and the midrange is airier and more dynamic than before. The result is actually very good, and this is especially true for pop music and other bass-loving genres.

Elite 75t plays full, relatively airy, and very engaging. This is simply a lot of fun to listen to. The treble is also nicely rounded, so you can play quite loud without it being tiring to listen to.

The Jabra’s are not quite as well-resolved in the treble as the Sennheiser Momentum TW2, but they compensate with more bass. This is a sound that is likely to appeal to many. I would personally listen to these rather than to Apple’s Airpods Pro, which I think is more bright and tiring.

How Long Will the Battery of Jabra Elite Active 75t Last?

If you compare the Jabra Elite Active 75t with the previous model, Elite 65t, the battery life has actually increased by as much as 50 percent.

The Jabra now states 7.5 hours of playing time per charge, in addition to a couple of full charges in the case. The total battery life should thus be a solid 28 hours, better than Apple’s Airpods and approximately on a par with the Sony WF-1000XM4 without the noise cancellation activated.

How Is the Design and Fit of Jabra Elite Active 75t?

Can You Shower With Jabra Elite Active 75t

The Elite Active 75t comes packed with attractive aesthetics. It looks almost the same as the Elite 75t and a little smaller than Elite Active 65t

The charging case looks more rugged than its predecessor. However, the case is not water-resistant.

There has never been any problem for the Elite series regarding the comfort level. It offers some of the best in-ear stability and grip control. It will never pop out while running or exercising in the Gym for most people.

A total of four sizes of silicone pillows are included in the box, and as usual, I recommend spending some time finding the size (or sizes) that suits you best.

How Is the Controls on Jabra Elite Active 75t?

You will get two physical buttons and in-ear detection. Both work perfectly well. You will hear a nice click sound that will let you know your command has been used. As for the digital assistant integration, it’s pretty functional. There will be no issue with Alexa, Siri, and Google Play recognizing your voice and commands.

The right button is used, for example, for both play/pause (one press), to activate the voice assistant (double press), and to turn up the volume (hold down), in addition to having a separate arsenal of commands when you are in a call.

The left side, in turn, is used to activate HearThrough (one tap), skip a song forward (double-tap while playing music), or backward (triple-tap). If you do not have music playing, the double-tap function is suddenly used to activate what Jabra calls the page tone, which is a function that allows you to hear your voice while talking on the phone. Holding in also allows you to turn down the volume.

All in all, it’s fine with many possibilities, but I’m wondering if they went a little too far. The learning curve was quite steep, but it’s nice that there is a detailed explanation in the Jabra app, and I should say that you learn the basics eventually.

Other features

These earbuds did not originally come with active noise cancellation, but Jabra has integrated active noise cancellation via a firmware update. The new technology is excellent as it manages to block out most of the ambient noise around you.

If you need to listen to your surroundings, turn on the HearThrough awareness mode.

As for call quality, these earbuds come with a 4-microphone system that gives great voice quality.

For connection, Jabra has used Bluetooth 5.0, which is more than good enough for this purpose.

FAQ

Can Jabra Elite 75t Be Used Independently?

Yes, you can use the right earbud alone to listen to music or make phone calls in mono. Because the left earbud only connects to the right earbud and not to the mobile device, you can’t use it by itself. Only the right earbud is directly connected to the smartphone. Use the app on your linked mobile device to manage the volume and track.

Can Jabra Elite Active 75t Connect to Multiple Devices?

The Jabra Elite Active 75t can remember up to eight different devices and actively pair with two of them at once. When you turn on your headset, it looks for the most recently paired device first, then moves down the list until two active connections are found.

Can Jabra Elite Active 75t Connect to Apple Watch?

Yes, the Jabra Elite 75t may be used with an Apple Watch. However, you could or might not have issues with stuttering or cutouts when connected to your Apple Watch. The Jabra Elite 75t with a smartwatch may not deliver the optimal experience at this time, and it is not officially supported. If you experience cutouts, try moving your Apple Watch to your right arm. The right earbud is the master and the one that connects to your watch, so this might enhance the connectivity.

Is Jabra Elite Active 75t Case Waterproof?

No, the Jabra Elite Active 75t charging case is not waterproof.

Can You Swim With Jabra Elite Active 75t?

Yes, in theory, you can swim with the Jabra Elite Active 75t, but it’s not recommended. It has an IPX7 rating, which means it can be submerged into 1 meter of water for 1 hour. However, Bluetooth signals are significantly reduced in water, and even if the earbuds can withstand the water, they are not made to handle salt, soap, or other chemicals.

Do Jabra Elite Active 75t Have Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)?

Yes, Jabra recently updated the Elite 75t and Elite Active 75t with ANC, better known as active noise cancellation, via a firmware update. Both versions take advantage of the new technology by masking sound with the built-in microphones, and despite the fact that the earbuds weren’t designed with ANC in the first place, Jabra did an excellent job implementing it.

What Is the Difference Between Jabra Elite 75t and Jabra Elite Active 75t?

Jabra followed up its great Elite 75t with a waterproof edition called Elite Active 75t. Because the Elite Active 75t is made to survive vigorous exercise or run in the rain, wet and steamy circumstances should not be a concern. Apart from upgrading the IP rating from IP55 with the Elite 75t to IP57 for the Active version, Jabra made no other visual or functional adjustments.

Are Jabra Elite Active 75t Waterproof?

Yes, Jabra Elite Active 75t are waterproof. They come with an IP57 (IPX7) rating, which means they are resistant to water and dust and can be submerged into 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
